I really hate imps bug

The event I really hate imps I believe is bugged, I never get a reward afterwards. It says to return to him but when i go back he just says "there is nothing going on at the moment"

Yes I also talked to bear about it. Apparently you have to slay them and return really really fast to get a reward.
