For those having the problem where your client crashes when you try to login, etc. and have already tried Lord Odin's suggestion ... try renaming (rather then deleting) your uo.cfg in your main directory AND in your desktop directory to something else. Upon launch clientv.exe will then create fresh ones. Works for me every time.
