Regarding VoiceChat and Third Party Messaging Software

Hello Players,
Valhalla Lost does not provide an external communication service. This shard is free to play and run by volunteers at the financial expense of the administrator. Currently, there are no plans to create any official Valhalla Lost chatrooms or voice chat, for that would include moderation of the service which we are not willing to allocate the resources for at this time.
Communicating outside of the game offers a number of benefits: Your hands are not occupied for conversation in a voice chat, allowing you to play the game more efficiently; You can organize group events easier with record of what was said, and you can get to know your fellow players on a more personal level (or laugh about the way they pronounce certain things, like Einherjar)
However, in the event that something negative happens with player discussions outside of the game, the Valhalla Lost staff aren't able to intervene as much: It's not our business what peoples' opinions are in these other messaging programs. If there are people contacting you out-of-game that you have a problem with, we would advise you to block communication with them, and for anything more serious than that we urge you to contact the administrative staff of that medium to handle the problem if your own efforts have not sufficed. We can only offer moderation for events that happen in-game.
