Congratulations, Sora and Matt

It was a beautiful vampire ceremony under the watch of Vladimir Bloodbane as his daughter, Sora Darkrose and Matt Jess tied the knot to become Sora and Matt Bloodbane.  All the best to both of you.

Happy Easter 2017

Pugdug the Easter Orc says…
Eggs, eggs, squish ‘em and hide ‘em.
Go ’round an’ smell to find dem.
Step, step, squish and lick your toe,
Spin round fast and throw up slow.

Valentine’s Day, 2017

On Valentine’s Day, Sedrick the Cupid Dragon showed up around the lands of Valhalla.  It was a mad search for him but one brave little gassy orc found him, killed him and got his special head.  Good job, Elga.  And to all those hunting Valentine Bears, we hope you found the special prizes!

Gingerbread House Competition

And a belated congratulations to Ghrim Darksbane for blowing away the competition at the gingerbread house decorating contest.  Odin Claus was very pleased with your contribution and let out a large burp as his way of saying, “good job”… you deserve it.

Krampus Comes To Valhalla

The warriors of Valhalla haven’t been very good boys and girls this year as Krampus has come to visit!

Was it because of naughty little orcs who blow their noses all over the gardens signs leaving green piles of icky goo?  Or those who like to hunt down innocent wild elves?  Or the really naughty people who tame cute bunnies and make them fight to the death?

So naughty!

Krampus likes to hang around the forests outside of towns.  He is not a regular spawn so you will have to keep looking around for him.  And he has a chance to drop a special bracelet!

Henchie Costume Contest

We had a frightening amount of entries this year for the Dress-Up Your Henchie Competition.  It was the players who voted for these top three: starting with Wonder Woman by Lacey Blackstone, Headmaster Dumbledore by Elga and Jon Snow by Varyund Syanthis who knew enough to take third place.

Eron & Elga. First Orcish Wedding in Valhalla

On August 21, 2016, Eron the Ugly and Elga the Uruk belched the holy song of their people into each others faces, followed by a sacrificial goat chase and fireworks ceremony under the pews, which left the crowd of attendees with several burns and trips to the healer. We wish them the best for their explosive relationship.

Ashbenford Museum

It’s Museum Month!  Check out the Museum at Ashbenford with items donated by players and GMs over the last 15 years.  Relive those old events and the prizes you had to fight for your life to get back then.

In the Time Before Kings

(Begin 80’s theme music)

…the lands were ruled by Gods.

There were Nine Worlds upon which many great battles were fought. These monumental battles were fought between realms, races, guilds, tribes and gods alike; There was one battle yet to be…

This battle to end all battles would come to be known as:

- – RAGNAROK – -

A devastating battle where god would befall god. The God Heimdall, Watcher of the Gods, would denote the destruction of Bifrost, the Rainbow Bridge, by sounding his great horn, Gjallor. — Odin, The All-Father, will be slain in a duel with Fenris. — Surtr, the flame giant, mortal enemy of Odin, will kill Frey, God of the Elves.

Loki and Heimdall will meet one last time and neither will survive the battle.
Tyr, God of War, will die at the teeth of Garm and Thor, God of Thunder, will die in a torrent of venom from the mouth of Jormungand, the Midgard Serpent.

Vidar, son of Odin, will tear Fenris to pieces avenging the All-Father’s death.

Surtr will set fire to the great ash tree, Yggdrasil… and the worlds will burn.

All of this and more, leading to a seemingly bleak end.

Strength and courage be not lacking, Odin knew this battle was unavoidable, hence, the reason and purpose of “The Great Halls”.

Valhalla – Hall of the Slain

To this vast land is where the greatest of heroes were brought after they had fallen in the fields of battle. These heroes were carried to Valhalla by the beautiful Valkyries.

Here, they would join the Einherjar – to train and prepare for the ordeal to come…
